Help? Anybody?

Postby K3V1N4000 » Fri Sep 11, 2015 8:06 pm

Ok, i've been having a problem in which i can't run thugpro for a while and now i GUESS i know why but can't figure out what it means.

I opened THUGPro.exe several times and found a notepad in there called "Thugpro" which is apparently a log file that saved the date and exact hour/minutes of all the times i opened the game, all lines saying just the same thing.

Code: Select all

[02-09-2015 @ 16:16]: Couldn't open gp.info (2)
[04-09-2015 @ 16:46]: Couldn't open gp.info (2)
[04-09-2015 @ 17:22]: Couldn't open gp.info (2)

[11-09-2015 @ 18:52]: Couldn't open gp.info (2)

What the hell is this "gp.info"? :?

Hmm, it looks like you're missing 4 months worth of updates.
Download the thugpro setup here and click "repair". And see if that fixes anything.

We're not sure what this file does, but its not causing any crashes. This file should have been included in an earlier update, so you have either deleted it or you're missing some updates :S

If you want to get rid of the message you can just create an empty file in the same folder as the log file, called "gp.info".

Tried both, nothing. I'll leave it as "Video Card Problems"
And about the 4 months of updates, my game wasn't working since the "Update raw" in february (i guess that was the month). So i guess i'll have to wait. But thank you for the help.

Ok, so since it's been a while, my last comment got a bit buried & haven't gotten my last problem fixed, I'm gonna re-bring-up my problem.
When I try to open (I think that's the correct term) THUG Pro, I get this window that's entitled "THUGPro.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and has a description saying "The procedure entry point _BinkSetPan@12 could not be located in the dynamic link library binkw32.dll". What does this mean & how do I fix this?

Maybe try to download a binkw32.dll and put it into your thug2 game, overwriting it and then re-installing or repair by using the installer again, perhaps it'll help.

binkw32.dll was already downloaded, twice actually. Not entirely sure what you mean by overwriting it, so I just reinstalled it, at least I think that's what I did. It's no longer saying something about BinkSetPan@12 anymore. But I'm still having problems. When I try to open it, it opens but it doesn't do anything else. It says "THUG Pro (Not Responding)" at the top & the window is just pitch-black. I let it wait a long while but stays unresponsive the entire time. Is it normal to take so long, or is there a problem?

Well, i dunno, my problem was that my game opened and all but once it was the time to show the THUG Pro title, it crashed with no popup or else, i fixed it by getting a video card, may i know about your pc specs? Perhaps your game can't run at all until upgrade or some important file is missing, that's all that i think it could be.

Guys, i have a question, in the launcher there is a "Swivel Lock" button assigment. But i just don't know what the button actually does. What does it do and how does it work?

If possible, can you tell me how that would work in the actual gameplay?

Thanks.

Thanks.

The "Swivel Lock" button is used to lock/unlock the camera position.
On console it was assigned to R3, but for some reason it was never included in the PC versions of the game.

I don't think the missing binkw32.dll file is the only issue. Since that file should have been there by default... assuming that the game was installed correctly. My guess is that there are more files missing and thats why the game wont start.

It would be easier for us to help if you could send us an email at thugprocontact@gmail.com
